Name:  Alex Boukheir

Class year:  2024

Major:  Business administration (management concentration)

Why did you choose Ohio Wesleyan?
I chose Ohio Wesleyan for its strong business management program and the welcoming campus community, along with the strong connection I felt with the wrestling team.

Why did you choose your major?
I've always been interested in business, and I believe a degree in business management will open up diverse career opportunities.

Why did you choose to compete in sports at Ohio Wesleyan?
Competing in sports at Ohio Wesleyan allows me to pursue my passion for wrestling while being part of a supportive athletic community.

What is your favorite memory on an Ohio Wesleyan team?
My favorite memory is creating a bond with my teammates that goes beyond the wrestling mat and will last for the rest of our lives.

Do you have any pre-event rituals or superstitions?
I always listen to a '70s soul music playlist before a match.

What are your strengths as an athlete (as an individual)?
My determination and resilience on the mat are my key strengths as an athlete.

What is your number one goal, personal or team, for this season?
My primary goal is to contribute to the team's success and perform at my best individually.

What athletic or academic achievement/accomplishment are you most proud of?  What did you do to put yourself in position to achieve that?
I take pride in balancing my academics and athletics, earning recognition for academic achievements while excelling in wrestling through consistent training and dedication.

What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation, I aim to pursue a career in business management and possibly continue my involvement in wrestling through coaching.

Which reality show would you like to star on and why?
I'd choose "Naked and Afraid" because it combines adventure, teamwork, and diverse challenges, providing a unique and exciting experience.

Which three people, living or dead, would you like to share a meal with?
I'd love to share a meal with Muhammad Ali for his inspirational journey, Mike Tyson for his mindset and everything he has experienced, and Joe Rogan for all the information he has gathered over the years.

If you could visit another time, when would it be and why?
I'd be intrigued to visit the Roaring Twenties, experiencing the cultural shifts, jazz music, and the vibrant energy of the time, marked by social change and a sense of liberation.

What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a student-athlete?
Embrace the challenges, stay disciplined in managing your time, and cherish the moments with teammates – it's a unique and rewarding experience.

What is your favorite season and why?
Winter is my favorite season because of the crisp weather, vibrant foliage, and the excitement of the wrestling season.
