Freshman midfielder Brian Schaefer (Chatham, N.J.) and junior midfielder Jacob Eganhouse (Westerville/St. Francis DeSales) scored goals to give Ohio Wesleyan a North Coast Athletic Conference victory over Wooster on Wednesday in Wooster.

After a scoreless first half in which the Bishops held a 9-5 advantage in shots, Ohio Wesleyan turned up its level of play on both ends of the field, outshooting the Fighting Scots, 18-2, during the remainder of the game.

The pressure paid off in the 57th minute, when sophomore midfielder Colton Bloecher (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) fired a shot at the Wooster goal.  Scot keeper Matthew Canter was there for the save, but Schaefer got the rebound and found the back of the Wooster goal to put the Bishops on the scoreboard.

Ohio Wesleyan kept up the attack, forcing Canter to make 3 saves during the next 2 minutes of action, Bloecher had 2 shots saved in short order midway through the period.

The Bishops picked up some insurance when Eganhouse tallied an insurance goal with 5:49 left in regulation time.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wooster, 27-7.  Senior Paul Hendricks (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) had 2 saves in posting the shutout in the Ohio Wesleyan goal.  Canter finished with 13 saves in the Wooster goal.
