Box Score
Ohio Wesleyan 1, Capital 1

Junior midfielder Ian O'Keefe (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) scored to give Ohio Wesleyan a 1-0 lead, but Capital evened the game late in regulation time and the teams played to a tie in non-conference action on Saturday in Columbus.

Ohio Wesleyan would have the edge in offensive play during the first half, outshooting Capital, 11-6.  Crusader keeper Bob Weisgarber had 5 saves during the first 25 minutes of play, recording 3 saves on shots by junior midfielder Paolo Bucci (Dublin/Bishop Watterson).

Bucci would factor into the Bishop goal, however, crossing the ball from the right side to O'Keefe, who finished the chance from in front of the Capital net with 9:29 left in the first half.

Freshman midfielder Brian Schaefer (Chatham, N.J.) and O'Keefe had looks early in the second half, but Weisgarber was there for the save each time to keep the Crusaders within 1-0.

Capital evened the game with 9:54 left in regulation time.  Chris Mir-Salimi fired a shot that senior goalkeeper Paul Hendricks (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) saved, but R.G. Florey got to the rebound and deposited it into the Ohio Wesleyan goal.

Schaefer and Florey had shots during the first overtime period, but neither were on goal, and each team had 2 shots during the second overtime period.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Capital, 21-14.  Hendricks finished with 4 saves in the Bishop goal, while Weisgarber had 10 saves for Capital.
