Freshman right-side hitter Kacy Gurewitz (San Ramon, Calif./Dougherty Valley) pounded out a team-high 14 kills to lead the offense as Ohio Wesleyan overcame a 2-sets-to-1 deficit and came back to defeat Ohio Christian in non-conference action on Tuesday in Circleville.

The Bishops defeated the Trailblazers by scores of 25-15, 19-25, 24-26, 30-28, 15-11.

Gurewitz collected 14 kills, senior outside hitter Katie Fain (Vandalia/Butler) added 11 kills, and sophomore middle hitter Meigan Day (Port Clinton) finished with 8.  Freshman setter Shannon Schlater (Englewood/Northmont) distributed 42 assists.

Defensive standouts for the Bishops included Day, who finished with a team-high 7 blocks; senior middle hitter Tamra Londot (Utica), who added 5 blocks; and sophomore libero Danielle Birney (Toledo/Sylvania Southview), who had 17 digs.
