Box Score
Ohio Wesleyan 70, Anderson 59

Senior guard Taylor Rieger (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) buried a 3-pointer and freshman wing Ben Simpson (Lake Bluff, Ill./Lake Forest) followed with a 3-point play to give Ohio Wesleyan a double-digit lead, and the Bishops went on to defeat Anderson in non-conference play on Wednesday in Anderson, Ind.

Both teams' offenses started slowly, with the game tied 8-8 just over 8 minutes into the action, and the Ravens taking a 13-12 lead on a Carson Breckenridge lay-in just before the midway point of the half.  Breckenridge's lay-in kicked off a 15-3 Anderson run that included a Brett Anderson 3-pointer, along with a pair of Scott Schwieterman buckets.  Nate Gross's jumper from the lane capped the run and gave the Ravens a 26-15 lead with 4:59 remaining in the half.

Ohio Wesleyan came back with a pair of free throws from senior post Reuel Rogers (Columbus/Bexley), a 3-pointer from sophomore post Matt Jeske (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South), and a 3-point play from senior wing Dre White (Lima/Bath), and White added another free throw and a lay-in late in the period to pull the Bishops within 31-30 at the break.

White's thundering dunk put the Bishops ahead to stay at 34-33 early in the second half, and Rogers followed with back-to-back baskets to open up a 5-point Ohio Wesleyan lead.

Anderson closed to within 43-41 on Steven McCann's 3-point play with 11:13 left in regulation time, but the Bishops scored the next 8 points of the game, getting a lay-in and a 3-pointer from Rieger before Simpson converted a 3-point play to give Ohio Wesleyan a 51-41 lead with 9:35 to play.

The Ravens answered with a Max Mollaun 3-pointer, but a Rieger free throw and a White steal and lay-in extended the lead back to 10 points, and the Bishops would lead by no fewer than 8 points through the remainder of the contest.

White led the Bishops with a career-high 20 points and 9 rebounds.  Rogers and Rieger finished with 15 points apiece, and freshman guard Seth Clark (Lewis Center/Olentangy) had a team-high 6 assists.

Schwieterman led Anderson with 14 points.
