Winters Named to d3hoops.com All-America Teams

Senior guard Andy Winters (Columbus/Bishop Watterson) was named to the d3hoops.com All-America teams, it was announced today by d3hoops.com.

Winters was a fourth-team All-America selection.

Winters, a point guard, led the North Coast Athletic Conference and ranks fifth in the nation in assists with an average of 7.0 per game, and his assist/turnover ratio of 2.62/1 led the league and is 14th nationally. He ranked ninth in the conference in scoring at 14.1 points per game, was third in steals (1.6/game), and ranked 12th in field goal percentage (.473) and 13th in free throw percentage (.731).  He also was named NCAC Player of the Year.

The Battling Bishops finished the season with a 23-6 record.  Ohio Wesleyan finished second in the NCAC championship race with an 11-5 record, won the NCAC tournament, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
