Senior middle hitter Tamra Londot (Utica) led the Bishops to a sweep of Saturday's action at the Manchester University Pizza Hut Volleyball Invitational in North Manchester, Ind.

Ohio Wesleyan opened the day with a 25-15, 25-21, 25-23, 25-21 win over Anderson, then swept Earlham by scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-15.

Londot pounded out a team-high 15 kills against Anderson, while sophomore middle hitter Meigan Day (Port Clinton) added 11 kills and freshman outside hitter Mercedez Wood (Alliance/Marlington) added 8 more.  Freshman setter Shannon Schlater (Englewood/Northmont) finished with 42 assists.

Defensive leaders included Londot with 5 blocks and sophomore libero Danielle Birney (Toledo/Sylvania Southview) with 30 digs.

Against Earlham, Londot led the Bishops with 6 kills and senior outside hitter Katie Fain (Vandalia/Butler) chipped in with 5 kills.  Schlater dished out 17 assists.

Day and freshman right-side hitter Kacy Gurewitz (San Ramon, Calif./Dougherty Valley) shared the team lead with 3 blocks apiece, and Birney finished with 16 digs.

Londot represented the Bishops on the all-tournament team.
