Muskingum 3, Ohio Wesleyan 1

Senior middle hitter Tamra Londot (Utica) and sophomore middle hitter Meigan Day (Port Clinton) posted double-digit performances in kills, but Muskingum defeated Ohio Wesleyan in a battle of unbeatens on Wednesday in New Concord.

Ohio Wesleyan won the first set, 25-21, but the Muskies came back to take the next 3 sets by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-20.

Londot led the Bishops with 12 kills, while Day finished with 10 kills.  Senior outside hitter Katie Fain (Vandalia/Butler) added 9 kills and freshman outside hitter Rylee Komminsk (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) contributed 8 kills.  Freshman setter Shannon Schlater (Englewood/Northmont) distributed 40 assists.

Londot and Day also stood out on defense, picking up 3 blocks apiece.  Sophomore libero Danielle Birney (Toledo/Sylvania Southview) had a team-high 26 digs, and Fain finished with 13 digs.
