Senior middle hitter Tamra Londot (Utica), sophomore middle hitter Meigan Day (Port Clinton), and senior outside hitter Katie Fain (Vandalia/Butler) recorded double-digit performances in kills in powering Ohio Wesleyan over Franklin at the Earlham Invitational on Sunday in Richmond, Ind.
The Bishops defeated the Grizzlies by scores of 25-22, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18.
In Sunday's second match, Londot blasted a team-high 7 kills in leading the Bishops to a 25-21, 25-21, 25-19 win over Earlham.
Against Franklin, Londot, Day, and Fain each compiled 12 kills. Freshman setter Shannon Schlater (Englewood/Northmont) finished with 39 assists.
Londot had a team-high 8 blocks to lead the Bishop defense, while Fain finished with 5 solo blocks. Sophomore libero Danielle Birney (Toledo/Sylvania Southview) led the Bishops with 64 digs.
Against Rose-Hulman, Londot had a team-high 7 kills, while Fain and freshman outside hitter Rylee Komminsk (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) followed with 5 kills apiece. Schlater distributed 22 assists.
Londot highlighted the Bishop defense with 4 blocks and Birney led the way with 34 digs.
