Freshman guard Seth Clark (Lewis Center/Olentangy) scored 6 consecutive points to cap a late 9-0 run that helped 22nd-ranked Ohio Wesleyan seal a North Coast Athletic Conference victory over DePauw on Saturday in Greencastle, Ind.

DePauw had closed to within 63-61 on baskets by Tommy Fernitz and Pat Haggin, the latter coming with 3:38 to play.

Senior guard Taylor Rieger (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) converted a 3-point play to push the lead back to 5 points, and Clark then went 6-for-6 from the line with less than a minute to play, extending the margin to 72-61 with :30 on the clock.

After Adam Botts hit a 3-pointer for the Tigers, Rieger finished off the day's scoring by going 3-for-4 from the line during the final 20 seconds of the contest.

Clark had given Ohio Wesleyan a 3-2 lead with a trifecta in the opening minute of the game, but DePauw answered with a 13-0 run that saw Fernitz and Botts score 5 points apiece.

The Tigers still led, 18-8, at the 12:43 mark of the first half only to see the Bishops reel off an 11-0 scoring spree that included a pair of buckets by sophomore post Matt Jeske (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) and a 3-pointer from junior wing Nick Felhaber (Holland/Toledo St. John's).

Felhaber sank back-to-back 3-pointers later in the half to give the Bishops a 5-point lead, and Ohio Wesleyan built the lead to 8 points on a putback by senior post Reuel Rogers (Columbus/Bexley).

DePauw closed out the first half with a 15-4 burst, with Fernitz canning 3 hoops during that stretch, to take a 39-36 lead at the break.

Ohio Wesleyan used the outside shooting of Clark and Jeske to construct a 55-50 lead with 12:02 left in regulation time, and after the Tigers clawed back to tie the contest at 55, it was the inside presence of Rogers and sophomore post Claude Gray (Avon) that helped the Bishops to a 63-57 advantage with 5:38 to go.

Clark led the Bishops with 18 points and shared the team lead with 6 rebounds.  Rieger finished with 12 points, Felhaber scored 11 points, and Gray added 10 points.  Senior wing Dre White (Lima/Bath) led the Bishops with 5 assists and shared the team lead with 6 rebounds.

Fernitz and Frank Patton III led DePauw with 16 points apiece.
