Senior midfielder Colton Bloecher (Lewis Center/Olentangy Orange) scored midway through the first overtime period to give eighth-ranked Ohio Wesleyan a win over 21st-ranked Hope in the second round of the Cal Bergsma Memorial Tournament on Saturday in Holland, Mich.

The teams battled through a scoreless first half with a total of 7 shots between them, and the scoreless draw continued well into the second half.

With the game remaining scoreless at the 80th minute, senior Colin Beemiller (Pickerington/North) posted 3 saves during the next 4 minutes of action to keep Hope off the scoreboard.

Ohio Wesleyan took the lead in the 85th minute when junior midfielder Lonnie Barnes (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) scored from 6 yards out.

The Flying Dutchmen evened the game on Josh Hagene's rebound goal 18 seconds later.

Beemiller preserved the deadlock with a save on Gavin Midlam's header in the final minute of regulation time.

Bloecher scored the game-winner on a shot from 8 yards out with 5:25 left in the first overtime period.

Hope outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 14-8.  Beemiller finished with 7 saves for Ohio Wesleyan, while Ethan Beswick made 5 saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
