Box Score Ohio Wesleyan 3, Wabash 0Senior forward Brian Schaefer (Chatham, N.J.) scored all 3 Ohio Wesleyan goals as the Bishops remained unbeaten in North Coast Athletic Conference play with a win over Wabash on Saturday in Crawfordsville, Ind.
Schaefer put the Bishops on the scoreboard in the eighth minute, with senior back Evan Lee (Toledo/St. John's) and senior midfielder Lonnie Barnes (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) credited with assists on the play.
Wabash had a chance to tie the game, earning a corner kick in the 27th minute, but junior goalkeeper Ben Farynowski (Grandview Heights) tracked down a header by the Little Giants' Adam Antalis.
Schaefer made it 2-0 in the 38th minute, courtesy of an assist by senior midfielder Matt DiCesare (Westerville/St. Francis DeSales).
The Bishop forward completed the hat trick in the 53rd minute, with Lee assisting on the play.
Ohio Wesleyan outshot Wabash, 15-14. Farynowski made 1 save in recording the shutout for Ohio Wesleyan. Dayton Jennings made 2 saves for the Little Giants.
