Junior quarterback Jax Harville (Marion/River Valley) fired a pair of touchdown passes for Ohio Wesleyan, but DePauw built an early lead and went on to record a North Coast Athletic Conference win over the Bishops on Saturday in Greencastle, Ind.

The Tigers scored on the opening drive of the game, with Chase Andries' 27-yard run capping a 7-play, 65-yard march, and after Andy Hunt returned a punt to the Ohio Wesleyan 25-yard line, Andries connected with Will Harris on a 25-yard scoring play on third-and-10 to increase the Tiger lead to 14-0.

Early in the second quarter, senior linebacker Michael Smosny (Elyria) and senior defensive end Weeginne Cherrelus (Naples, Fla./Golden Gate) teamed up to drop Tiger quarterback Cam Haynes for a 1-yard loss on third-and-1, forcing a punt.  The Bishops then assembled a 52-yard drive, with Harville finding senior wide receiver Deji Adebiyi (Canton, Mich./Plymouth) for 9 yards and a first down, then connecting with junior wide receiver Mher Tcholakian (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) for 23 yards and another first down.  Harville moved the chains again with a 17-yard strike to Tcholakian on fourth-and-7 from the Tiger 28. but the drive stalled at the DePauw 14, and freshman kicker Gabe Philhower (Reynoldsburg) connected on a 31-yard field goal attempt to put the Bishops on the scoreboard.

The Bishops forced a punt and got the ball back midway through the second period, but Harville was sacked and Joe Zanca recovered the ball for DePauw at the Bishop 18-yard line, setting up a 6-yard touchdown run by Noah Jones.

Harville responded with another 17-yard toss to Tcholakian on the Bishops' ensuing possession, then found Tcholakian again for 9 yards on a third-and-9 call to keep the drive moving.  Then, junior wide receiver Sasoun Tcholakian (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington) caught a Harville aerial for 15 yards on third-and-10 from the Tiger 48, and on the next play, Harville connected with sophomore wide receiver Gabe Miller (Delaware/Buckeye Valley) for 33 yards and a score to make it a 21-10 game.

Junior safety Mario DeJoy (North Olmsted) picked off a Haynes pass at the goal line to thwart a Tiger drive in the closing seconds of the half.

DePauw's Zach Williams returned an interception to the Ohio Wesleyan 2-yard line, setting up a 5-yard scoring pass from Haynes to Hunt, and the Tigers added to the lead on Chandler Nicholson's 36-yard interception return for a score.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Bishops took over on their own 14-yard line and Harville hit freshman wide receiver Kenny Streb (Willowick/Eastlake North) for gains of 42 and 16 yards before finding Mher Tcholakian for 10 yards and a first down.  After a holding penalty gave the Bishops a first down at the Tiger 7, sophomore running back Trey Dixon (Atlanta, Ga./Westlake) picked up 4 yards on first down.  Facing fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line, Harville found Mher Tcholakian for the touchdown.
