Freshman wing Ethan Stanislawski (Massilon/Jackson) and freshman guard Curtis White (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) scored 5 points apiece during a 16-0 run that put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay, and the Bishops went on to record a North Coast Athletic Conference win over Kenyon on Wednesday at Branch Rickey Arena.

The Lords had taken an early 9-4 lead on the strength of a pair of 3-pointers by Elijah Davis.

Stanislawski started the Bishop run with a steal and lay-in, then freshman wing Gabe Johnson (Chicago, Ill./Wheaton St. Francis) followed with a steal, drew a foul, and sank both free throws to bring Ohio Wesleyan within 9-8.  White followed with a steal and lay-in to put the Bishops ahead to stay.

Stanislawski then blocked a shot and drilled a 3-pointer on the other end, Johnson added another pair of free throws, and White knocked down a 3-pointer.  Junior guard Tristin Tillman (Bellefontaine) followed with a lay-in for a 20-9 Bishop lead with 11:10 left in the first half.

Christian Watanabe drove for a lay-in with 9:47 to end the Lords' scoring drought of more than 6 minutes, and when Davis canned a jumper shortly thereafter, the visitors were within 26-18 at the 7:09 mark of the period.

Ohio Wesleyan then took off on a 15-0 run that included 3-pointers by junior guard Jaret Gerber (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) and Johnson.  Junior post Grant Gossard (Westerville/Olentangy Orange) opened the second-half scoring with a putback to extend the lead to 47-27, and the margin would remain at least 20 points for the remainder of the contest.

Stanislawski led the Bishops with a season-high 25 points, going 9-for-10 from the field, including 4-of-5 from downtown.  Johnson finished with 15 points and White added 11 markers.  Junior post Derrick Wyche (Lewis Center/Olentangy) had a team-high 8 rebounds and Tillman led the Bishops with 4 assists.

Davis led Kenyon with 14 points.
