Kenyon scored early in the first overtime to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Tuesday in Gambier.
The Ladies' Caroline McNeer sent a ball over the top to Fallon Raviol, who sent a 20-yard shot into the lower right corner of the Bishop goal at the :10 mark of the extra session.
Kenyon had the edge on offensive play during the first half, outshooting Ohio Wesleyan, 11-4. Sophomore goalkeeper Taylor Floyd (Wilton, Conn.) made 4 saves during the period, denying both Raviol and McNeer during the early going and stopping a pair of shots by Olivia Dion later in the half.
Sophomore forward Julia Dickman (Marysville) had a good chance early in the second half, but her shot from the left side was punched away by Kenyon keeper Jillian Countey. The ball went on to hit the right post and bounce backward, but Countey tracked down the loose ball.
Sophomore midfielder Brooklynn Buck (Kings Mills/Kings) had a shot saved by Countey in the 73rd minute, and senior forward Lexie Chafin (Powell/Olentangy Orange) saw her drive saved by Countey during the final seconds of regulation.
Kenyon outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 19-10. Floyd finished with 6 saves for Ohio Wesleyan. Countey made 3 saves in the Kenyon goal.
