Hope's Corinne Cole scored with 5:57 remaining in regulation time to give the Flying Dutch a non-conference win over Ohio Wesleyan on Friday in Holland, Mich.

The first half saw only 3 shots between both teams, with none of those on goal.  Hope earned 4 corner kicks during the period, but were able to generate a shot after only one of those.

Junior midfielder Kortney McGinnis (Grove City/Central Crossing) put a shot on goal midway through the second half, but Hope keeper Jordanne Ellingboe was there for the save.

Sophomore forward Julia Dickman (Marysville) lined up a shot in the 79th minute, but Ellingboe again made the stop.

Junior goalkeeper Emma Hall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central) stopped a shot by Maria Egloff in the 82nd minute to keep the shutout going.

In the 85th minute, Cole found the back of the net for an unassisted goal that gave the Dutch the lead, and Hope would go on to the win.

Hope outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 8-2.  Hall finished with 2 saves.  Ellingboe recorded 2 saves for the Flying Dutch.
