Sophomore midfielder Hannah Baughman (Louisville) scored twice and junior forward Ashley Smiley (Delaware/Hayes) contributed a goal and an assist, and the Ohio Wesleyan defense recorded an outstanding performance in a non-conference win over Manchester on Wednesday in North Manchester, Ind.

Baughman put the Bishops on the scoreboard with a goal in the 11th minute, courtesy of a feed from Smiley.

Smiley increased the Ohio Wesleyan lead to 2-0, scoring off a pass from sophomore forward Julia Dickman (Marysville).

Baughman added a goal in the 61st minute to make it a 3-0 lead, and sophomore midfielder Olivia Adkins (Hudson) wrapped up the Ohio Wesleyan scoring with an unassisted goal in the 71st minute.

The Bishop defense did not allow a shot until the final minute of the game, when Amaya Sunderman's drive was tracked down by junior Emma Hall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central) to keep the shutout intact.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Manchester, 28-1.  Sophomore Taylor Floyd (Wilton, Conn.) was not tested during the first 65-plus minutes in the Bishop goal, and Hall finished the game in goal, making 1 save.  Gabrielle Carreon was credited with 15 saves for the Spartans.
