Wooster opened the game with a 10-0 run, with Danyon Hempy and Dontae Williams each hitting a pair of hoops.  Ohio Wesleyan missed its first 8 shots from the field before sophomore guard Zane Ries (Barberton) drove for a lay-in and senior post Tim Kiefer (North Olmsted/Cleveland St. Ignatius) followed with a 3-pointer to halve the Fighting Scot lead.

Another Ries lay-in made it 13-9 midway through the half, and Clement followed with a lay-in and a 3-pointer to put the Bishops ahead, 14-13, with 8:21 to play in the period.

Lane and sophomore post Nick Carlson (Dublin/Coffman) connected from long range as the Bishops opened up a 28-18 lead with 3:59 to go, and Ohio Wesleyan would take a 38-27 lead into the locker room.

Spicer opened the second half with a jumper from the lane and Kiefer followed with a 3-pointer to extend the margin to 43-29, and Ohio Wesleyan would lead by as many as 17 points, that coming after a Stanislawski hoop made it 58-41 with 7:50 left in regulation time.

The Bishops still led, 62-46, after a Spicer lay-in with 2:47 to go, but Wooster answered with a jumper from Keonn Scott.  Scott then heated up from long range, hitting a 3-pointer to bring the visitors within 62-51 with 1:36 to go, then connecting on another 3-pointer to make it 62-54 after Clement missed the front end of a one-and-one.

Clement hit a free throw with :52 remaining to push the lead back to 9 points, but Scott hit another 3-pointer with :32 to go to make it a 2-possession game.

Ries sank a free throw for a 7-point lead with :26 to play, and while Scott connected on one more 3-pointer, it came with :02 on the clock and a Stanislawski free throw sealed the outcome.

Stanislawski led the Bishops with 13 points, while Lane finished with 11.  Sophomore wing Gabe Johnson (Chicago, Ill./Wheaton St. Francis) recorded team bests of 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
