Ohio Wesleyan University junior Cristian Gomez (Columbus/St. Francis DeSales) was named to the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association NCAA Division III Academic All-Ohio teams, it was announced by the OCSA.

Gomez, a midfielder, was a first-team Academic All-Ohio selection.

Gomez compiled a goal and 2 assists while playing a variety of midfield roles this season.  He majors in sports and exercise management.

Ohio Wesleyan finished the season with a 15-3-2 record.  The Battling Bishops went 8-1-0 in NCAC competition, finishing second in the league standings.  Ohio Wesleyan made its NCAA-record 42nd Division III tournament appearance and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
