Wittenberg 3, Ohio Wesleyan 0 (exhibition)
Wittenberg scored midway through the first half and added a pair of second-half goals on the way to a win over Ohio Wesleyan in an exhibition game on Monday at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.
Wittenberg's Carly Stang gave the visitors the lead when she fielded a pass from Emma Lindsey and put a 25-yard shot just under the crossbar in the 24th minute.
Senior forward Ashley Smiley (Delaware/Hayes) had a chance at the equalizer during the final minute of the first half, but Tiger keeper Emma Schewe made the save.
The Lindsey-to-Stang connection clicked again in the 57th minute, when Lindsey sent the ball from the right side to Stang, whose shot from the left side found the back of the net.
The Tigers made it 3-0 when Maria Miller sent a corner kick into the box and Paige Kaiser headed it home in the 77th minute.
Senior Emma Hall (Grand Rapids, Mich./Forest Hills Central) stopped 2 shots during the first half and freshman Natalie Coontz (Dublin/Jerome) had 7 saves during during the second half.
