Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Seth Anderson (Springfield/Kenton Ridge), senior Ethan Brooker (Waverly), junior Gabriel Chlebowski (Toledo/St. John's), senior Nick Cianciola (Massillon/Canton Central Catholic), senior Trevar Meese (Wooster), junior Brandon Planey (Mount Gilead/Northmor), and sophomore Drew Thorton (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) received Academic All-District® VII recognition in football from the College Sports Communicators, it was announced today.
Anderson, Brooker, Chlebowski, Cianciola, Meese, Planey, and Thornton will advance to the Academic All-America® ballot.

Brooker, a linebacker, majors in finance.
Chlebowski, a kicker, majors in pre-professional zoology and environmental science.
Cianciola, a cornerback, majors in accounting.
Meese, a linebacker, majors in finance.
Planey, an offensive lineman, majors in politics and government.
Thornton, a free safety, majors in health and human kinetics.
Academic All-District® honors are bestowed by the College Sports Communicators, with District VII consisting of schools in Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. To be considered for the teams, one must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better and be a starter or important reserve.
