Junior wing Tony Carter (Cleveland/Parma Heights Holy Name) buried a 3-pointer to end that game-opening run, and Clement and sophomore guard Henry Hinkle (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) each scored 4 points as the Bishops closed to within 22-21 with 4:25 left in the first half.

Ohio Wesleyan pulled even with a 7-0 run early in the second half, with Clement hitting a pair of lay-ins and a 3-pointer to knot the game at 30, and the Bishops were still within a single marker after senior guard Curtis White (Lawrenceburg, Ind.) drained a 3-pointer with 14:55 remaining.

It was still a 2-possession game after a pair of Clement free throws brought the Bishops within 53-47 with 5:23 to play, but the Titans scored the next 11 points to pull away.
