Junior outside hitter Kaitlyn Peters (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead), junior outside hitter Melissa Murray (Chardon/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin), and sophomore outside hitter Natalie Buravlov (Aurora, Colo./Grandview) stood out for Ohio Wesleyan, but the Bishops lost matches to third-ranked Calvin and sixth-ranked Hope during the second day of the NCAC/MIAA Challenge, hosted by Hope College on Saturday in Holland, Mich.

Calvin defeated the Bishops by scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 to open the day's action.  The Bishops then lost to Hope by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

Peters collected 12 kills and 12 digs to lead Ohio Wesleyan against Calvin, while Murray added 7 kills.  Freshman setter Lily Bechina (Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep) finished with 18 assists.  Sophomore middle blocker Claire Solberg (Huron) recorded 4 blocks.  Junior defensive specialist Neah White (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) also had 12 digs.

Against Hope, it was Murray and Buravlov posting 7 kills apiece to lead the Bishops.  Bechina distributed 22 assists, Murray and Solberg had a block apiece, and Peters had a team-high 14 digs.
