Freshman midfielder Athena Kolettis (Northfield/Nordonia) scored the game-winning goal and Ohio Wesleyan erupted for 3 goals in a span of 1:43 to break open a non-conference win over Marietta on Tuesday at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

The Bishops took the lead midway through the first half when Kolettis chased down a lead pass on the left side, then made a run along the top of the penalty area before putting a shot into the back of the Pioneer goal.

Freshman midfielder Emma Weber (Cincinnati/Walnut Hills) made it 2-0 after a Pioneer turnover, picking up the loose ball and firing it into the left side of the goal.

Just over a minute later, freshman midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) blistered a 25-yard shot from the left side.

Freshman midfielder Paige Neal (Louisville, Ky./DuPont Manual) wrapped up the evening's scoring just 38 seconds after that when junior midfielder Jaelyn Dodson (Cincinnati/West Clermont) crossed the ball from the right end line across the goal mouth, and Neal was there at the left post to finish the chance.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Marietta, 19-4.  Freshman goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) went the distance in the Bishop goal and made 2 saves in recording the shutout.
