Volleyball Falls to Albion

Junior outside hitter Melissa Murray (Chardon/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) and junior outside hitter Kaitlyn Peters (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead) led the Ohio Wesleyan offense, with freshman setter Lily Bechina (Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep) turning in a prolific performance running the show, but Albion outlasted the Bishops during the first day of the NCAC/MIAA Challenge on Friday in Holland, Mich.

The Britons won the match by scores of 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 15-13.

Murray finished with a team-high 18 kills, while Peters added 15.  Sophomore middle blocker Claire Solberg (Huron) added 14 kills and led the Bishop defense with 5 blocks, and senior outside hitter Eliza Richardson (Lakewood)
added 12 kills.

Bechina finished with 62 assists, tying for third place on the Bishop list for a 5-set match.


Junior defensive specialist Neah White (Indianapolis, Ind./North Central) had a team-best 27 digs.
