Calvin's Chris Schau scored early in the second half as the Knights took the lead, and the hosts went on to record a win over Ohio Wesleyan in a battle of top-25 teams on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The 24th-ranked Bishops enjoyed a 7-5 edge in shots during the first half, but were not able to translate that advantage to the scoreboard.  Sophomore forward Christopher Guerra (Columbus/Worthington Kilbourne) put shots on goal in the 30th and 32nd minutes, but Calvin's Daniel Wunder made the save each time.

Meanwhile, the 19th-ranked Knights got looks from Zach Flowerday in the second minute and Schau in the 28th minute, only to see senior goalkeeper Mason Taylor (Marysville) record saves.

Calvin took the lead in the 55th minute on Schau's goal, with Oliver Akintade credited with an assist on the play.

Guerra had a chance in the 68th minute, but his shot was stopped by Wunder, and sophomore forward Rowan Kriebel (Sewickley, Pa./Quaker Valley) had his shot in the 74th minute meet a similar fate.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Calvin, 18-12.  Taylor finished with 4 saves.
