Sophomore midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) scored early in the second half to break a 1-1 tie and lift Ohio Wesleyan over Mount Union in non-conference play on Saturday in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders had taken the lead on an early goal by Madeline Boulos.  Logan Godfrey was credited with an assist on the play.

Junior midfielder Ryan O'Neill (Cincinnati/Maineville Little Miami) got the equalizer in the 27th minute.

Trinh scored an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute to put Ohio Wesleyan ahead to stay.

Sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) made a pair of saves down the stretch to protect the lead, stopping a shot by Meghan Cavey in the 85th minute and making the save on a shot by Eleanore Busch with :17 left in regulation time.

Mount Union outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 12-10.  Ryan finished with 4 saves.
