Capital's Sophia Leonetti scored twice to help the Comets pull away for a non-conference win on Tuesday in Columbus.

Sophomore forward Ava Bruns (Delaware/Hayes) had the first scoring chance of the game, but her shot was stopped by Comet keeper Liv Alford in the sixth minute.

Capital took the lead midway through the first half on a goal by Lexi Snider, with Lizzie Elliott credited with an assist on the play.

Sophomore midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) had shots stopped by Alford in the 32nd and 41st minutes, preserving Capital's 1-0 lead.

The Comets increased the margin to 2-0 in the 58th minute on Leonetti's first goal of the evening.  Tori Kittrell and Francesca Longano were credited with assists on the play.

Leonetti added a goal in the 67th minute, courtesy of a Nicole Ogden pass, and the Comets closed out the scoring with a goal by Grace Estes in the 69th minute, with Taylor Marcum credited with an assist.

Ohio Wesleyan outshot Capital, 20-13.  Sophomore Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) made 2 saves during the first half and senior Abby Markley (Westerville/North) had 1 save during the second half.
