Sophomore forward Jordyn Adams (Carroll/Bloom-Carroll) recorded a hat trick in Ohio Wesleyan's 4-0 win over Hiram on Tuesday at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

After pressing for much of the first half, the Bishops were able to get up a goal before halftime.  Junior forward Ava Bruns (Delaware/Hayes) took a shot but Hiram keeper Emma Deffenbaugh was there to keep it out.  The rebound fell to the foot of Adams, who sent it into the right side of the Terrier goal.

Adams added a second goal less than 15 minutes into the second half.  Junior midfielder Paige Neal (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual) took the ball up the left side of the field.  Neal fed a pass to junior defender Halle Dacek (Middleburg Heights/Berea-Midpark), who slipped it to Adams in the center of the box.  Adams sent the ball curling right inside the left post.

The hat trick was completed 6 minutes later when Adams got on a rebound of a ball from Dacek to tuck it into the back of the net.

Senior forward Holly Counts (Canal Winchester) added a fourth goal in the final minutes of the game off a corner kick. Adams sent a ball in which Counts was able to tip in.

The Bishops outshot the Terriers 28-6, holding Hiram without a shot on goal.

Junior midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) led with 7 shots and Adams followed with 6.  Junior goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) kept a clean sheet between the posts.
