Junior goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) broke the Ohio Wesleyan career mark for shutouts as the Bishops and Wooster played to a scoreless tie in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex.

Wooster's Lily Glaza had a chance to put the Fighting Scots on the scoreboard with a 25-yard free kick in the 31st minute, but the kick was wide.

Ryan kept the game scoreless in the 34th minute, smothering a shot by Abby Henegar inside the penalty area.

Early in the second half, Wooster's Alyssa Lubba was free on a through ball, but Ryan made the stop.

Junior midfielder Tiffany Trinh (Dublin/Scioto) had a pair of chances during the second half, first on a centering pass from junior Athena Kolettis (Northfield/Nordonia) on which Trinh's header shot went wide, and then on a free kick from about 28 yards out that Wooster keeper Kameryn Nelson stopped.

Wooster outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 12-10.  Ryan finished with 4 saves in completing the shutout, the Bishops' fifth in a row.  The shutout was the 25th of Ryan's career, breaking the mark set by Sandra DeWitt from 1994-97.
