DePauw's Macy Happe scored in the opening minutes of the second half and the Tigers went on to a win over Ohio Wesleyan in the North Coast Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Saturday in Greencastle, Ind.

Ohio Wesleyan had the first scoring chance with a shot by junior forward Ava Bruns (Delaware/Hayes) in the 20th minute, but the ball was cleared by a DePauw defender.

Junior goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) stopped shots by Ellie Mahan in the 26th minute and Jayla Logan in the 33rd minute to keep the game scoreless.

The Tigers took the lead on Happe's goal at the 46:35 mark, with Peyton Howard credited with an assist on the play.

DePauw keeper Aubree Empie saved shots by freshman midfielder Mia Bucci (Avon Lake) in the 77th minute and junior midfielder Avery Curtin (Galena/Olentangy Berlin) in the 82nd minute.

DePauw outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 11-6.  Ryan finished with 4 saves.
