Denison took the lead in the 37th minute and added a pair of second-half goals to defeat Ohio Wesleyan in a North Coast Athletic Conference contest on Saturday in Granville.

The loss, combined with wins by Wittenberg and Oberlin later in the afternoon, eliminated the Bishops from the NCAC tournament.

The Big Red took the lead when Isabella Guzman fired a shot that junior goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) saved, but Eliza Roach got to the loose ball and scored.

Guzman added to the Denison lead with a goal in the 69th minute, with Megan Mulvey credited with an assist on the play.

Senior forward Avery Maxeiner (Sunbury/Big Walnut) had a look at the Denison goal with 16 minutes remaining, but Big Red keeper Molly Noga made the save.

Lola Tirabassi gave Denison some insurance with an unassisted goal in the 79th minute.

Denison outshot Ohio Wesleyan, 10-9.  Ryan made 1 save in the Ohio Wesleyan goal.
