The Ohio Wesleyan men's soccer team was predicted to finish in third place and Kenyon College emerged as the preseason favorite in balloting by North Coast Athletic Conference men's soccer coaches in their 2024 preseason poll.
Kenyon, the defending NCAC champion, received 7 of the 9 first-place votes and 79 points in the poll. Denison received one first-place vote and finished second with 68 points, and Ohio Wesleyan finished third with 65 points. DePauw and Wabash tied for fourth place with 45 points apiece, followed by Wooster (35) and Wittenberg (33). Oberlin received the final first-place vote and finished eighth in the poll with 25 points, while Hiram was ninth with 10 points.
Ohio Wesleyan opens its season on Friday, Aug. 31, against Mount Union at the Jay Martin Soccer Complex. Ohio Wesleyan mentor Jay Martin will retire as the Battling Bishops' head coach after the 2024 season.
