BW's Ella James had a look in the seventh minute, but junior goalkeeper Natalie Ryan (Beavercreek/Dayton Carroll) made the save.

Schoen stopped 4 more shots as the first half ended in a scoreless tie, and 2 more saves during the second half.

Bruns' goal came off a feed from Trinh in the 86th minute.

Baldwin Wallace's Sydney Rice had a look at the equalizer in the 87th minute, but the shot went wide.
