GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Ohio Wesleyan University field hockey team traveled to Depauw Saturday morning, looking to stay undefeated in conference play. The match was a defensive battle throughout, with neither team able to break through in regulation. Depauw struck in the extra period, finding the back of the cage five minutes in to claim a 1-0 victory.
OWU drops to 4-5, 3-1 in the NCAC. DePauw improves to 6-3, 3-0 in conference.
The Battling Bishops generated several chances throughout the contest, taking 16 shots, with 13 being on goal, but were unable to convert.
In the 65th minute, DePauw's Hannah Zaiser received a pass from Hailey Nowak and delivered, making the final scoreline 1-0.
A defensive front led by
Emma Morgeson,
Katie Conway, and
Catherine Kent anchored the Red and Black throughout the contest.

OWU earned eight penalty corners compared to DePauw's 11.
Payton Mindel (4-5) got the start and played the full 60+ minutes, making seven saves.
