DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University field hockey team hosted Mary Washington on Sunday morning, ultimately being outperformed 2-0.
OWU drops to 3-4 on the year, Mary Washington improves to 4-3.
For the majority of the game, the Battling Bishops found themselves tasked with holding firm on defense, generating just five shots in the contest, with three on goal. Mary Washington tallied 20 shots, with 10 on target.
In the 27th minute, the Eagles found the back of the cage as Anna Reed buried a pass from Mackenzie Proffitt. Mary Washington would tack on an insurance goal in the 52nd minute, and the Bishops were unable to respond.
