DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's basketball team welcomed DePauw to town, looking to end a three-game skid. The Battling Bishops did exactly that, taking a commanding 40-23 lead into the break and controlling the second half to secure their third conference win, 77-65.
The Bishops improve to 6-11 overall, with a 3-5 mark in the NCAC. DePauw drops to 11-6, and 4-4 in conference play.
Both sides traded points early, and the Bishops held a narrow 16-15 edge after nine minutes of play. However, the Bishop offense ignited soon after, going on a 17-6 run over the next seven minutes fueled by nine points from
Isaac Ward. After creating a significant margin, the Bishops dominated the final 2:36, holding firm defensively while rattling off seven unanswered points to build a 40-23 halftime cushion.
OWU wasted no time after the break, stretching their advantage to 18 just three minutes into the half. The Red and Black stayed in command throughout the second half, maintaining a double-digit lead the rest of the way. The Bishops shot 50% from the field in the final 20 minutes, leading to a 77-65 victory over the Tigers.

Ohio Wesleyan shot an impressive 50% from the field, and 40% from three.
Peyton Frey paced the Bishop offense with 18 points, adding five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Jake Lowman recorded his second career double-double with 16 points and 11 boards. Lowman also tallied five assists and a career-high four steals.
Isaac Ward was next with 14 points, four steals, three assists, and three rebounds.
Jessee Battle scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Carson Murphy had a career-high seven points.
Kevin Gallagher finished with five points and two rebounds.
Phil Wallace tallied four points.
James McCarthy recorded two points and two rebounds.
Anthony Mordini grabbed three rebounds.
