Women’s Soccer Gets Back On Their Feet Against DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind. – The Ohio Wesleyan University women's soccer team (3-7-4, 1-3-0 NCAC) traveled to Indiana to play DePauw (3-7-3, 1-2-1 NCAC) on Saturday afternoon. The Battling Bishops secured their first conference win since 2024, scoring three goals in the second half to win 3-2.

The Tigers scored the first goal of the game in the 26th minute to take the lead over the Bishops. OWU followed up offensively with two shots, one being on target, but unfortunately were not able to tie up the score, leaving DePauw with a one-goal lead heading to halftime.

The Bishops brought the heat in the second half with a goal in the 56th minute by freshman Sophia Mominee – the first of her career. Shortly after, the Bishops claimed a 2-1 lead thanks to freshman Maddy McCaster who scored in the 63rd minute.

The would-be deciding goal came in the 88th minute by Jordyn Adams, assisted by Maddy McCaster, to put the Red and Black ahead 3-1. The Tigers got one back just 10 seconds later on a penalty kick, but that was all, the game coming to a close at 3-2.
