COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – On Tuesday morning, the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced the list of collegiate field hockey programs receiving the 2025 National Academic Team Award. Among the list of Division III programs was Ohio Wesleyan University.

The prestigious acknowledgement is granted to programs that have achieved a combined grade point average of at least 3.50 during the fall semester of the current academic year. Ohio Wesleyan was one of 78 Division III programs and 157 programs across all three NCAA divisions to accomplish such a feat.

The Battling Bishops boasted a total of 15 players named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for their work in the classroom, along with junior Catherine Kent, sophomore Izzy Fry, and freshman Emma Mohns being selected as NFHCA Scholars of Distinction this year.
