DELAWARE, Ohio – The Ohio Wesleyan University men's basketball team was at home on Wednesday night hosting John Carroll for their second matchup of the season. In the end, it was the Blue Streaks taking the victory by a large margin, 97-65.

OWU sinks to 6-15 on the season, 3-9 in the NCAC. JCU improves to 16-5 on the year and 8-4 in conference play.

The Bishops' only lead of the evening came on the first basket of the game, a tip-in from Cal Klinzing 49 seconds in. From there, John Carroll took off on a 10-2 run to take a lead they would never surrender, though the Red and Black did come close to breaking even at a few points in the first half. All-in-all, Ohio Wesleyan was outscored 52-30 in the first half and 45-35 in the second half, leading to a lopsided final of 97-65.

THE NUMBERS
Jessee Battle led the Battling Bishops with 17 points in his 10th start of the season, also adding six rebounds and one steal.

Jake Lowman nabbed 13 points and a team-leading eight rebounds alongside three assists, two blocks, and two steals.

Kevin Gallagher had five points with one assist and one steal.

Isaac Ward, Cal Klinzing, Quinn Hart, and James McCarthy each tallied four points. Klinzing and Hart both added three rebounds with Hart being credited with an assist as well. McCarthy recorded a rebound and an assist. Ward recorded an assist as well.

Anthony Mordini and Jackson Williams scored three apiece. Mordini tracked down a career-high eight rebounds along with one assist. Williams had one rebound.
