CLEVELAND, Ohio – On Wednesday, the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) announced major award winners and All-NCAC teams for the 2026 women's basketball season. Macy Miller was named the 2026 NCAC Player of the Year and head coach
Cody Hartzler's staff was named 2026 NCAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Miller also earned All-NCAC First Team recognition alongside All-NCAC Third Team selections for junior guard
Maddie Ebbert and senior forward
Alyssa Griner.
Miller is the fourth-straight NCAC Player of the Year for the Battling Bishops – preceded in the past three seasons by
Kasey Schipfer – and 10th overall. It is her second major NCAC award after being named the conference's Top Defensive Player last season. Miller leads the NCAC in rebounding this year with 11.7 rebounds per game and is in a close second for scoring at 16.7 points per game. She is also second in the conference in blocks with 1.6 per game, third in field goal percentage at 50.5%, and fifth in steals with 2.1 per game. Miller's All-NCAC First Team selection is the second of her career.

Rachel Mikulec, and student assistant coach Kaytee Garberich hit the ground running this year, leading the Bishops to a 20-5 overall record so far, finishing third in the NCAC regular season standings and earning an at-large bid to host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship. The Red and Black have been nationally-ranked since early December, soaring as high as fourth on the NCAA Power Index and putting together an impressive streak of 16-straight wins at one point.
Ebbert's All-NCAC Third Team selection is her first career all-conference honor after transferring into the OWU program as a junior this season. She has started 23 of her 24 games played this season, averaging 9.4 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game this season while totaling 53 assists, 34 steals, and eight blocks.
Griner's All-NCAC Third Team selection is her second career all-conference honor, having previously earned a third team selection in 2024. She has started all 24 of her games played this season, averaging 10.4 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game while totaling 27 steals, 18 assists, and three blocks.
The Red and Black continue their campaign in the first round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship this weekend with a 7:15 p.m. home matchup against DeSales at Branch Rickey Arena.
