Keith Rucker

Keith Rucker is in the second season of his third stint as a member of the Ohio Wesleyan football coaching staff and his eighth season as a football coach at his alma mater.  He coaches the Battling Bishop defensive line.

Rucker was previously on the Bishop coaching staff during the 2012-15 seasons, serving as special teams coordinator for his final 3 seasons.  He coached the Bishop defensive line during the 2000 and 2012 seasons.

Rucker served as head coach at Mount Healthy High School in the Cincinnati area for 3 seasons.  He also coached at Walnut Hills, Loveland, and Aiken High Schools, and most recently was defensive line coach and special teams coordinator at Princeton High School in Cincinnati.

A veteran of the National Football League, Rucker spent portions of 7 seasons in the NFL, playing for the Arizona Cardinals, Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins, and Kansas City Chiefs.

Rucker is a 1992 Ohio Wesleyan graduate.  He was an All-America selection during each of his 3 seasons with the Bishops, highlighted by first-team Kodak honors in 1991 and Associated Press Little All-America citations in 1990 and 1991.  He also was a 7-time All-America honoree in track & field, winning 4 national championships in the shot put and discus.  Rucker was inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan Athletics Hall of Fame in 2003.
