Pat Delaney is in his 30th season as an assistant football coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Delaney is in his 29th season as the Battling Bishops' defensive coordinator.  The Bishop defense ranked third in the North Coast Athletic Conference in scoring defense and fourth in rushing defense and total defense during the 2023 season after leading the NCAC in pass efficiency and ranking second in total defense, rushing defense, passing defense, and scoring defense during the 2022 season.

His Bishop defensive units have led the NCAC in passing defense 6 times, in total defense twice, in scoring defense twice, and in rushing defense once.  Delaney also coaches the Bishop linebackers.

He coached the Bishop middle linebackers in 1995, his first season at Ohio Wesleyan.

Delaney is a 1987 graduate of the University of Toledo. He was a 4-year letterman at free safety for the Rockets and served as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons. He was a 3-time selection to the Academic All-MAC team.

Delaney is a native of Toledo, Ohio.
