Ron Wooten enters his third season as an assistant football coach at Ohio Wesleyan University. Wooten will coach the Bishop running backs and tight ends.
Wooten came to Ohio Wesleyan after one season at Fairland High School in Proctorville, Ohio, where he served as assistant head coach, special teams coordinator, and wide receivers coach.
Wooten is a 2012 graduate of Marshall University, where he served as a student assistant coach for 2 seasons. He assisted with the wide receivers in 2008 and assisted with the defensive backs in 2009, and assisted with special teams, video breakdown, and scouting reports. Wooten began his coaching career in 2007 at Fairland.
Wooten is a native of Proctorville, Ohio.
