David Vogel is in his second season as associate head coach and his fourth season as member of the men's basketball coaching staff at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Vogel came to Ohio Wesleyan from Wittenberg University, where he was an assistant men's basketball coach for 2 seasons, helping the Tigers improve to 13 wins in 2021-22 after a 1-win season the previous year.
He began his coaching career at Texas Christian University, serving as a graduate assistant for 2 seasons and helping the Horned Frogs to a 23-14 record and a National Invitation Tournament semifinal appearance during the 2018-19 season.
Vogel is a 2018 graduate of DePauw University, where he was a 4-year letterman in basketball. During his undergraduate career, he helped the Tigers win the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament in 2015 and was a 3-time academic all-conference selection. He majored in communications at DePauw and continued his education at TCU, earning an M.Ed. in educational leadership in 2020.
He is a native of Bluffton, Ind.
