Joe Machado is in his second season as an assistant men's soccer coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Machado has coached at the college level, first at St. John's (N.Y.) University, where he assisted during the 2011 season while earning his master's degree.  In 2012, he served as assistant coach and goalkeeper coach for both the men's and women's teams at Yeshiva (N.Y.) University, helping the men's team rank 15th nationally in saves per game and helping the women's team improve its goals-against average by more than 2.0 per game over the 2011 campaign.

He also was head girls soccer coach Yonkers High School from 2009-12, receiving conference Coach of the Year honors in 2010, and has served as soccer coach and goalkeeper coach for FC Westchester Elite in White Plains, N.Y. for the last year.

Machado holds an NSCAA National Diploma and is certified at Goalkeeping Level 1-3.

He is a 2009 graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent (N.Y.). He played 3 years for the Dolphins, serving as captain for one season, and graduated with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts.  He continued his education at St. John's, earning his master's degree in sport management with a concentration in coaching leadership.
