Michael McDermott begins his first season as an assistant coach of the Ohio Wesleyan University men's soccer team. He will work with the Battling Bishop goalkeepers.
McDermott returns to Ohio Wesleyan after serving as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's teams at Thomas More College during the 2016 season and as an assistant at Ohio Dominican University during the 2017 season.
He is a 2016 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, where he was a 3-year letterwinner on the Battling Bishop men's soccer team. He majored in biochemistry and pre-professional zoology at Ohio Wesleyan, then continued his education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a master of science degree in pharmacology.
McDermott is a native of Alliance, Ohio.
