James Culotta is in his first season as assistant women's soccer coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Culotta comes to Ohio Wesleyan from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he served as a graduate assistant coach for 2 seasons. He helped the Pioneers record their best conference finish in history in 2018.
He also served as head boys coach at Dubuque (Iowa) Senior High School during the 2019 season, guiding the team to its first postseason win in 4 years and its second-highest win total in 10 years. Earlier, he was head boys coach at Faith Bible Christian (Ore.) School and staff head boys coach at Tualatin Hills United Soccer Club in Portland (Ore.).
Culotta is a 2014 graduate of Concordia (Ill.) University, majoring in sports management. He played defense and midfield for the Cougars for 4 years. Culotta continued his education by pursuing an M.A. in adult education at Wisconsin-Platteville. Culotta also holds a USSF "E" license.
He is a native of Racine, Wis.
