Taryn Haas is in her third season as head volleyball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University.

Last season, the Bishops posted a 12-19 record, an improvement of 10 wins over the previous season.

Haas made her collegiate head coaching debut in 2011.  She served as the Battling Bishops' assistant coach during the 2010 season.

Haas came to Ohio Wesleyan from Jonathan Alder High School, where she was head girls volleyball coach for 2 seasons. She was head girls volleyball coach at Mount Gilead High School during the 2007-08 academic year, and began her coaching career as the head coach for the Charleston (W.Va.) 14 club team in 2006.

Haas is a 2007 graduate of West Virginia State University, where she played volleyball for 4 years. She was named West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 2005 and was selected as the WVIAC tournament Most Valuable Player in 2006, helping the Yellow Jackets win the tournament championship and claim an NCAA playoff berth.

Haas graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 grade point average and is working on a master's degree in educational administration at The Ohio State University.

She is a native of Prospect, Ohio.
