Ohio Wesleyan University sophomore Mason Espinosa (Cookeville, Tenn.), senior Travis Wall (Columbus/Upper Arlington), and sophomore Hannah Zacharias (Marysville) have been named North Coast Athletic Conference Players of the Week for the week of Oct. 31, it was announced by the NCAC.
Zacharias, a goalkeeper on the Ohio Wesleyan women's soccer team, was named Women's Soccer Player of the Week. She stopped 6 shots, including 4 in the second half alone, as Ohio Wesleyan and Denison played to a scoreless tie on Tuesday, clinching a spot in the NCAC tournament for the Bishops. Against Allegheny on Saturday, Zacharias racked up 7 saves during the final 30 minutes of regulation in preserving a 2-0 lead. She finished with 12 saves as the Bishops defeated the Gators to win a share of the NCAC championship, Ohio Wesleyan's first since 2004.
